Mayan Zombie Fiscal Apocalypse

Ok, not really. But it is one hell of a storm brewing tonight.

From the National Weather Service, this is for the eastern entrance of the Strait of Juan de Fuca (in the vicinity of the "Romeo" VTS buoy, for those who care about such).

Synopsis...A DEEP 974 MB STORM CENTER 100 NM W OF CAPE FLATTERY WILL MOVE RAPIDLY EAST TONIGHT...MOVING ACROSS THE NORTHERN INLAND WATERS AND INTO THE CASCADES BY 6 AM PST MONDAY. STRONG ONSHORE FLOW IN ITS WAKE WILL PRODUCE STRONG WESTERLY WINDS ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS TONIGHT AND INTO THE STRAIT OF JUAN DE FUCA BY DAYBREAK MONDAY. A WEAKER FRONTAL SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO ARRIVE MIDWEEK.

STORM WARNING IN EFFECT

Overnight: E wind 33 to 36 kt becoming W. Winds could gust as high as 55 kt. Rain. Wind waves 6 ft building to 10 ft.

Monday: W wind 39 to 44 kt, with gusts as high as 65 kt. Rain, mainly before 10am. Wind waves around 10 ft.
